By taking lessons with Victoria Hopkins Driving Tuition you automatically agree to the terms & conditions outlined below. You will receive a copy of these when you book your driving lessons with us and will also be required to digitally sign these within the Total Drive student app.

License & Eyesight

1. You must hold a current, valid driving license (provisional or full), which must be presented on your first driving lesson.

2. You must demonstrate that you are able to read (with glasses or contact lenses, if necessary) a car number plate from a distance of 20 metres (20.5 metres for an old style number plate).

Payment For Lessons

​

1. Payment for lessons must be made by bank transfer a MINIMUM of 48 hours prior to your lesson. If payment is not received, your upcoming lesson and all future lessons will be cancelled and your regular slot offered to a pupil on our waiting list.

Lesson Postponement or Cancellation

​

1. A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to postpone or cancel a lesson. Persistent cancellations are likely to result in your regular slot being offered to a pupil on our waiting list.

Lateness and ‘No Show’ For Lessons

​

1. It is in your interests to be punctual for lessons. Due to other bookings we are unable to extend the lesson should you arrive late. We will normally wait a maximum of 10 minutes before abandoning the lesson, resulting in the lesson fee being forfeited (if pre-paid) or becoming due for payment.

Learner Comfort & Safety

​

1. You are advised to wear suitable clothing and footwear which does not restrict movement.

2. You are required to notify us of any matters that may affect your ability or entitlement to take driving lessons.

3. You MUST be fit to drive. You should make yourself aware of your responsibilities under the Road Traffic Act concerning the use of alcohol and drugs. We reserve the right to terminate the lesson if we believe that you are unfit to drive.

Driving Test

1. Driving tests will be booked by your instructor, on a date and time mutually agreed with yourself. Please do not book tests yourself as your instructor may not be available.

2. Payment for the test is required before a booking will be made.

3. Driving tests will not be booked until you and your instructor are satisfied that you are at the required standard for test.

4. Driving test bookings will take priority over lessons, therefore lessons may be postponed to allow for tests. Any changes to lesson bookings as a result of this will be notified well in advance.

5. The DVSA requires three clear working days’ notice of cancellation or postponement of tests. Failure to provide the required notice will result in the loss of the test fee.

Audio & Visual Recording

1. Our vehicles are fitted with both internal and external recording equipment for insurance and training purposes for which we are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

2. Recordings will not be shared outside of Victoria Hopkins Driving Tuition in any capacity without prior consent; the only exception to this is to identify someone for purposes requested by the police.

3. Recordings are stored securely and only for as long as is legitimately required.
